Chloe as she was pulled from mama! |
Chloe was born at 4:01 pm on a beautiful Saturday in March. She was a tiny 5 lbs 13 oz and was even more beautiful than I imagined. It was so awesome to see Daddy hold his first little girl. He was so proud. Chloe is such a joy. She never cries, only when hungry or when she has had it with everyone holding her!
She loves her mama and loves her "tamale blanket" as we call it (swaddle blanket). Also, bedtime is a favorite of hers. She is usually the first one to fall asleep. Chloe is the first one up too. When put to bed they start out in their crib but when they wake up I nurse them in my bed where they will remain the rest of the night. Lately though, they sleep through the night well into the morning which I am so grateful for. As soon as I pick Chloe up from her crib, she gives me the biggest grin and starts coo'ing at me as to say "thank you mommy". When nursing her, she stops and whispers in her sweetest voice to me with a big smile from ear to ear then goes back to nursing. These are the most precious moments I have with her so far. Gosh, I love this girl.
She is the observer. She looks on with her big round blue eyes. But mommy can always get a smile out of her. She coo's a lot and I even got her to giggle out loud at exactly 3 months old just like her big brother Gavin. I bounced her on the bed and she belted out a huge belly laugh. It was priceless, I cried like a baby. She seems to be the more independent one. But who knows at this age? Chloe has a sweet demeanor about her. I am surely excited to see her grow into her own light.
