MLB, here we come!!

It's been a while since my last post! Things around here have been a zoo!

Well, Gavin and Jordan were on the same coach pitch baseball team - The Twins.

They went on to the playoffs and did really well! I have to say that it was one of many proud mommy moments watching my little boys work together on the baseball field.

Gavin played shortstop and Jordan left field. Jordan would look to his brother for guidance and support. It melted my heart for sure. Both of their bats were hot this season, with a hit just about everytime they went up to bat! Gavin hit a few homers and triples, Jordan hit quite a few bombs as well!

The first hit of the season for Jordan was a very memorable one...

Jord, #10 is up to bat, the pitch is thrown, he swings, connects and WOW! It's a bomb to left field! Everyone goes crazy, except for Jordan. He stops, mouth wide open as his feet are planted to the ground as he watches the ball fly through the sky...about 5 seconds pass and then the coach yells, "RUN!" Jordan snaps out of it and books it to first base.

After the game, my mom asks him what happened when he hit the ball and he didn't run and he replies, "Nana! I was being Derek Jeter! When he hits a homerun, he stops to look at the ball before he runs." Haha!! What a character my Jordan is... Moments like these just fill my heart with joy!

Gavin played for the Rough Riders, on a kid pitch division which was so much fun watching him! He played shortstop, second base and pitched a few games. He made some awesome diving catches, great plays at SS and 2nd base and hit very well! James coached this team. I love seeing my boys play ball, it's the best... :)
